Rajan Raghavan is an experienced serial entrepreneur. He has most recently started his 6th company, The Fabric, which co-creates networking companies with other entrepreneurs.

In the past he was also the founder of Mediaway, Virtual Chips, RealChip Communication, Xambala, and Ankeena (sold to Juniper). In addition, he has been involved with 3 other startups: Avasem (later ICS), Cirrus Logic, C&T and has served as adviser to multiple startups in the software, semiconductor, and systems space. He is best known perhaps for his early role with Phoenix Technologies.

Rajan holds am MS in Electrical Engineering from Clarkson University, MBA from Syracuse University, and Bachelors degree from the National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli.

Prabakar Sundarrajan is an experienced serial entrepreneur. He is currently the Co-founder and Chief Strategist of The Fabric, which co-creates networking companies with other entrepreneurs.

Previously, Prabakar drove Juniper’s content and media strategy and the technology for its media delivery infrastructure solutions. Prior to joining Juniper via the acquisition of Ankeena, Prabakar co-founded Ankeena Networks. Before that he was at Citrix Systems, driving the technology vision and product strategy of the company’s Application Networking Group. Prabakar joined Citrix via its acquisition of NetScaler Inc., where he served as CTO and EVP of Strategic Planning and Corporate Development.

Prior to Netscaler, Prabakar was Senior VP of Technology at Exodus Communications. Prabakar has over 25 years of leadership experience in the hi- tech industry where he has held a variety of executive positions spanning engineering, marketing and business strategy at companies such as Intel, HP and IBM. Prabakar has served on the board of directors and/or technical advisory board of several companies and is a charter member of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE).

Prabakar holds an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and B.S. in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.

Sumant is a Managing Director at Clearstone Venture Partners, a leading early stage venture capital firm that has been the initial investor in companies such as Paypal, Netzero, MP3.com, Overture and many others.

He is co-founder of The Hive, a company co-creation studio focusing on data-driven businesses. And, his is also co-founder of The Fabric, a company creation studio for next-gen networking companies, through which he is involved in the creation of multiple new technology businesses. Sumant also initiated and manages all Clearstone India investments.

Sumant sits on the boards of The Rubicon Project, BillDesk, Games2Win, Glossi, Clearfly, Deep Forest Media and Openbucks. Notable companies Sumant has helped incubate and been the first investor in are Kazeon Systems (sold to EMC), Apture (sold to Google), Mimosa Systems (sold to Iron Mountain), Ankeena Networks (sold to Juniper Networks), and Cetas (sold to VMware).
Prior to venture capital, Sumant has been co-founder of multiple businesses in the online media, energy and industrial systems, both in the US and India.

Sumant has an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University. He is also a Charter Member of TiE.

Prem Talreja is Vice President of Marketing at The Fabric. He advices The Fabric startups build their business plan, validate the ideas with customers and partners, and shape the communication. He is also responsible at Fabric to develop relationships with partners and investors and research new investment opportunities, and communications activities.

He has held marketing and strategy roles and has been responsible for revenue generation in the consumer electronics, digital entertainment, and semiconductor industries. His corporate experience includes Infineon, Cirrus Logic, Sigma Designs and start-up, Dazzle Multimedia that was acquired by Pinnacle/ Avid. He has been a consultant and entrepreneur in the multimedia and services industries.

Prem has an MBA from Duke, Fuqua School of Business. He is active member of TiE Silicon Valley Chapter, and teaches marketing at Univ. of California Extension.

He comes from Appcito, a venture funded startup where he served as the Chief Marketing Officer and which he continues to advise. Previously he was head of worldwide marketing for Cisco’s multi-billion dollar data center and cloud portfolio. He spent 9 years at Cisco leading global marketing teams in the areas of internetworking, SDN, data center, cloud, security, WAN optimization, application delivery and management serving in both corporate marketing and business unit functions.

During his 20+ year career Shashi has held technology, business, marketing and sales engineering roles at Nortel, Euclid and the Center for Development of Advanced Computing. Shashi holds a Bachelors in Electronics Engineering, an MBA in Marketing and executive education at Harvard and Stanford Universities. Dr. Phiroz Darukhanavala (Daru) recently retired as VP and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at BP, a position he held from 2001 to 2015. He has an extensive global background spanning 40 years in the oil and gas industry including exploration, production, refining, retail and marketing; holding several technology and business leadership positions. Daru is credited with introducing many innovative digital solutions addressing some of the most pressing business needs for safe and efficient operations with significant bottom line impact. On a global scale he has led a wide spectrum of strategic and operational activities, leading multicultural teams and managing regulatory environments in America, Europe and Asia. He has been a key player for BP in both the front end and integration sides of the company’s extensive M&A activity.

Daru’s CTO team has created an extensive global business ecosystem to scan the market for new technologies that BP has been able to adopt into its system. This team is BP’s focal point for digital technology leadership and provides a fast and efficient matching of emerging external technology innovation to BP’s business requirements using a VC-type approach to scanning and rapid solution development. Adoption of new game-changing technology solutions have won numerous internal and external (Computerworld, InfoWorld, CIO Magazine, RFID Journal, CNET, Techworld) awards for “Best In Class”, bold innovation at scale.

Previously Daru was Director, Global IT Services for the BP Group, Functional Chief for BP Exploration and CIO for BP Exploration in the Continental US and Alaska.

Daru also served as the Director of the Corporate Supercomputing Center and the Head of the Management Science Group for The Standard Oil Company. He has also worked as a consultant on several projects in the industrial and healthcare arenas, and as an adjunct professor of management at several U.S. universities.

In addition to his strategic contributions to large scale, complex businesses, he has gained a high level strategic perspective as a Board Director for public companies, as well as board roles for high profile industry associations and universities. He was Chairman of the Society for Petroleum Engineers Global Digital Energy Conference.

Daru received his Ph.D. and his M.S. in Operations Research from Case Western Reserve University; and his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Bombay, India. He is the author of numerous publications.

infrastructure security, operations and architecture groups, growing the team to over 90. Previously he has worked at Cisco, Macromedia, Currenex and holds a degree in CS

Ken is responsible for creating and communicating technical/scientific vision and strategy for Cloud Services technical vision/strategy. He brings a compelling view of technology trends in enterprise IT (e.g., infrastructure, computing, SaaS, virtualization, and cloud) and evangelizes the technology roadmap for the business.

Before joining Cisco in 2014, Ken spent over 7 years at Savvis as the Chief Scientist, CTO, Chief Cloud Architect, and VP Security and Virtualization Technologies. Prior assignments include 5 years as a network security architect at A.G. Edwards & Sons, Inc., and Edward Jones brokerage firms in St. Louis, Mo, and 10 years in the design and architecture of communications systems and components for Erlang Technologies, Tellabs, and Wiltel.

Ken holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology.

He previously led cloud & IT industry marketing for Equinix, growing the business from $400M (900+ customers) to $600M (1,200+ customers) in 2-years and overtaking the network vertical to become the largest revenue segment.

He enjoys bringing technologies to market, solve client problems, and scale business and operations. Haran was most recently the Chief Sales Officer for Aricent. Prior to that he was the President and Head of Global Sales at Persistent Systems, Inc. During his five year tenure at Persistent, the company’s sales force, under Haran’s leadership, spearheaded substantial revenue growth. Prior to Persistent, Haran spent several years in a variety of senior executive sales, services and operations positions at companies including Longboard, Openwave Systems, Lucent Technologies, Bell Labs, and AT&T.
